Cookie Policy

Effective Date: August 26, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how BuildingOpsLab uses cookies and similar technologies, the purposes for which they are used, and how visitors can manage their choices.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files or similar browser-storage records used by websites and service providers. They can support essential website functions, remember preferences, improve security, or measure how a website is used.

Cookie Categories Used by BuildingOpsLab

Strictly Necessary

These technologies support website delivery, security, administration, and storage of a visitor’s consent preference. They may be provided by WordPress, Hostinger, Cloudflare, Complianz, or related website infrastructure. They are not used for personalized advertising.

Statistics

BuildingOpsLab uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) through Site Kit by Google to understand which pages are visited and how visitors interact with the site. Statistics cookies and identifiers are optional and are controlled by the consent banner.

If statistics consent is granted, GA4 may store first-party identifiers such as _ga and a property-specific _ga_* cookie. These identifiers help distinguish visits and sessions. Their actual duration may vary according to Google’s settings, browser controls, consent withdrawal, and subsequent visits.

Marketing and Advertising

BuildingOpsLab may display advertising provided by Google AdSense. When AdSense is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, limit, measure, and report on ads. Depending on a visitor’s location and consent choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.

Advertising storage, advertising user data, and ad personalization are denied before the applicable consent is granted. Visitors can accept, reject, or customize optional advertising technologies through the consent banner and may change their choices at any time.

Google’s use of information is governed by its own policies. Visitors can review Google’s advertising technologies policy and manage their Google ad preferences through Google Ads Settings.

Google Consent Mode

BuildingOpsLab uses Google Consent Mode V2. Before the applicable consent choice is granted, consent signals for analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization are set to denied.

When statistics consent is denied, Analytics cookies are not intended to be read or written. When advertising consent is denied, advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization remain denied. Google may receive limited cookieless signals, including the denied consent state and basic technical information, for measurement and modeling. Full Analytics or advertising measurement using cookies is enabled only after the applicable consent is granted.

Other Third-Party Technologies

The site may load Google Fonts to display text consistently. Loading a remotely hosted font can disclose technical request information, such as an IP address and browser information, to the font provider even when it does not place a cookie. Hosting, security, and content-delivery providers may also process technical request information as necessary to provide and protect the site.

Managing Your Choices

The consent banner provides three choices:

  • Accept all enables optional statistics and marketing or advertising technologies.
  • Reject all keeps optional statistics and marketing or advertising technologies disabled.
  • Customize allows category-level choices.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by selecting Manage cookie preferences on the site. Rejecting optional statistics or advertising technologies does not prevent access to BuildingOpsLab’s public articles.

You may also delete or block cookies using your browser settings. Browser controls operate separately from the BuildingOpsLab consent banner and may affect necessary website functions.

Additional Information

For details about information collected through GA4, advertising services, hosting, security services, retention, and privacy rights, see the BuildingOpsLab Privacy Policy.
